This year has certainly gone by too quickly. But, I must say that it has been a very special year for me. Finally being able to see my blog go live was obviously a dream come true. And I am so grateful to each and every person, who has been a part of this journey with me. Well, let’s move on to the post now, shall we?
Deciding your New Year’s Eve (NYE) outfit can be a little overwhelming, especially if you’ve been pressed against time and are now, going to now put together a last-minute outfit. While sequins are the standard uniform for New Year parties, it’s definitely not a written commandment. Personally, I’m all about the (bass? ha-ha) statement jewellery and accessories. And therefore, I decided to give you a glimpse of what exactly I’m talking about.
The outfit I’ve created for this post is something you can find in your closets too. I’ve worn a simple cold shoulder top in this lovely burgundy (ox-blood, marsala, pick whatever you want to call it) colour and paired it with a classic black pencil skirt. These chandelier earrings were a whimsical buy and they lift up any ensemble almost instantly. I kicked it up another notch by adding these zebra printed H&M heels to finish off my look. After all, more is more on New Year’s, right?
This is one occasion (apart from your wedding maybe) where you can go all fancy schmancy and still not be frowned upon and called overdressed. So take your cue and don’t be afraid to experiment with your style and amp up your outfits with statement jewellery. Go forth and own it girl! ✨
A very happy New Year to all my lovely followers and readers fam! 🎉
